For the attention of Mr.H.R.Buckland.

Dear Sir,

Many thanks for your letter of the 29th instant. The rev-clock has now come to hand and we are very pleased with the obvious reduction in weight.

You have put us in a dilemma however by changing the dial diameter of the rev-clock as it will now be impossible for us to mount the instruments on a car without a completely new and special instrument board.

Before we can test these two instruments satisfactorily on a Bentley chassis therefore it will be necessary for you to reduce the speedometer dial diameter to that of the rev clock.

Will you kindly let us know if you can do this quickly. Also would you let us know if the rev clock has the smaller magnet fitted etc.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
