Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., DERBY. For the attention of Mr. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} West. Dear Sirs, We are despatching to you to-day the new Rev-Clock. The weight of this new instrument is 1 lb. 10 ozs., and it shows a saving in weight against the present type of 1 lb. 5 ozs. You will note that we have made the diameter 7/16" smaller in regard to the bezel and case, but we have been able to retain exactly the same dial scale. This, of course, has helped us to reduce the weight, and another help has been the reduction in the size of the magnet. The temperature performance of this instrument is as satisfactory as that of the speedometer left with you by the writer. We trust that you will find this instrument satisfactory on test. When your tests are finalised on these two instruments, we shall require them back from you, in order to take all necessary details for bringing them into Production. Always at your service, We beg to remain, Yours faithfully, For THE A.T. SPEEDOMETER CO. LTD. HRBuckland Director. | ||
