Now that the 4 1/4 litre engine is on production, we are faced with the problem of brake drums getting too hot. This is especially important on the front. We are able to keep drums cooler if the ribs are higher. We have found out that we can increase the diameter of the front drums' ribs by .150" using the existing castings. We are going to run a 10,000 miles test with drums so machined. Will you help us to get this alteration made by holding up the machining of such castings as will not be required on cars during the next two months ? Sg.{Arthur F.
