-2- (9) Bonnet. The Amal bonnet fastener is not symmetrically distributed in its centres. (10) Instrument Board. We have really gone wild on this instrument board. There are so many switches that it is exceedingly difficult to know what is what. For the time being I should like the radio controls put in the hole at present prepared for the ash-tray. The ash tray should be an external one fitted on the front of the board as on 33.G.VII. I am writing a special note to Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} with a view to getting instrument boards rationalised. The following switches must disappear completely from the facia board:- (a) Petrol pump switch. (b) Windscreen wiper switch. The Lucas wiper which has a switch incorporated in the knob is perfectly satisfactory and there does not seem to be the slightest reason for an additional switch. (c) Rheostat instrument board lighting. This is best located beneath the instrument board. We will get out the modified instruments for this board and get it fitted in due course. (11) Front Wings. Will you please have a photograph taken of this car. The front wings are very ugly and we are going to have a spare pair which are at present at Park Wards, modified to improve the appearance of the car. (12) Engine Mounting. There is not quite enough clearance. The engine fouls somewhere when running irregularly. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
