c. Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} X 456 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/AD. August 15th, 1932. Messrs. John Marston Ltd. Paul Street Works, Wolverhampton. For the attention of Mr. Dalrimple. Dear Sirs, We understand that you have queried the thickness of the radiator on our order. This should, of course, be 2.750" think and not .2750". It will be quite satisfactory if you make a square block for the starting handle to pass through but we would like to have a sketch of the precise dimensions which you propose to use so that we may judge the appearance. With regard to the material, we have found from experience that copper suffers less from corrosion than brass and should therefore like these radiators built up in copper unless you have any particular reason for wishing to manufacture them in brass. We should, however, be glad of your experience which must be very extensive. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
