Replying to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}8/LG18.9.24., we think that the scheme of lubrication on LF.469 will be satisfactory, and would point out that it is very similar to the original method of lubrication of these joints that was dropped in reponse to a request from the Expl: Dept: for a lubricator more directly opposite the ball.

The only alteration to LF.469 we should suggest is that the hole through the ball might be a little larger say, .156", without increasing the diameter of the flats at the end. This would further ensure that there was a free passage for the oil.
