STANDARDISATION of CHASSIS PARTS.

Description of Parts.
Oil retaining baffles in rear axle tubes.

Origin.
To prevent oil from axle leaking on to the rear brakes.

Experimental Test Report.
On the present standard car the draining angle for the oil in the axle is so small that on a cambered road the oil can run from the axle into the hubs and brakes.

Road Test Report.
Run 11,000 miles on 2 E.X. No trouble with oil leakage although thin oil used in axle.
Run 5,000 miles on 49 G.B.
