EAC. AUTHORISATION SHEET NO. 5.
******************************
With reference to the Modification which has been agreed to, whereby the rear socket for the front mud wing is being secured to the frame by means of bolts in place of rivets to enable Coachbuilders to remove the socket for the purpose of fixing mud wings in position, WW. now propose to provide a locking plate to fit on the underside of the chassis frame to hold the bolts in position so as to avoid the necessity of having to hold the bolt heads whilst removing and replacing the sockets.
We suggest that we have permission to produce this pressing and fit same on production as soon as it is available, and in the meantime coachbuilders will have to carry on as at present.
