To BY/NS.{Norman Scott} c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell} c. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} at Kingsbury 25/30 HP. - Sticking of Non-return Ball Valve on Hot Spot Petrol Drain Pipe. Please receive herewith E.CD.800 - Non-return Valve at bottom of Hot Spot Drain Pipe. The object of this scheme is to move the ball valve some distance from the Hot Spot to prevent carbon forming on the ball and seat and so prevent the valve from functioning. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} instructs that Depot Sheets should be issued for applying this modification on customer's cars which suffer from a sticking ball valve. Will you therefore detail and instruct the necessary parts for use as required. Please note that the existing upper ball valve and its seating should be removed from the flanged connection on hot spot, when the new lower valve is fitted. We will shortly issue a similar scheme for Wraith III. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
