Cylinder Head Water Circulation.
Ref. HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}10/KW.27.4.36 and E.9/HP.29.4.36.

We send you herewith:-

LeC.5117 showing the cylinder block with the water holes drilled only at the rear of the engine. We think it is advisable to go slow on the future production of the cylinder blocks so that this can be introduced quickly after standardisation.

Since this cylinder block is common to both the 25/30 and the Bentley, it will be necessary to confirm a test on the latter car.

The design of the gasket is as before, so that it cannot be put on wrongly end for end.

As regards the cylinder head, this is also unchanged as the drilled water holes are useful for inspecting and freeing the passengers from casting sand.

LeC.5117 herewith.
