TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C to Bg X9940? RE. BRAKE SPRINGS. E1/M2.6.23. In accordance with Mr. Royce's instructions we send you herewith a copy of a memo. - OY10/W32923 - together with photograph referred to. Mr. Royce thinks this is a matter for you to deal with. He believes however that these brake springs have been softened at the ends at some time for some purpose or other. So far as we know this has never happened with us, although the brakes have been red hot at times during experimental tests on the dynamometer. Mr Hancock E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
