| 261 d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}2/GR.{George Ratcliffe} 3rd November. 1936. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Thompson, Esq., Middleton Hall, KINGS LYNN, NORFOLK. Dear Mr. Thompson, I meant to write you before about your car. While it was at the Factory we took the opportunity of decarbonizing it, as it had done over 10,000 miles since it was last looked at. I expect you will be charged for this, but it is not a very big item. With regard to the body rattles which Barlow mentioned, I pointed out to him that there were some rattles when the car came in, and we got the local Coachbuilder to deal with these as best he could. We were not entirely successful in eliminating them, but the only alternative would have been to send the car to Park Wards, London, who are really responsible forthe body, and let them put it right. This would have held the car up for another week, and we did not think it justified this. I have rather a nice improved body on the Bentley which I hope to show you next time I come over to Middleton. Possibly we might manage to come over about the end of the month. Yours sincerely, For ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
