To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c.c. to CJ. c.c. to De. c.c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} X4604 126 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}11/LG1.10.23. ENGINE MOUNTING EXPERIMENTS. X4604 We are carrying out the following experiments in connection with the above :- We are altering the position of the weight which has been added to the 20 HP. unit in order to balance it in the centre of gyration. The object of this is to prove whether the improvement is due to the balancing or due to the increase mass. We are trying the 20 HP. engine mounted from two rigid arms at the front end and a single point at the rear. We are testing these in conjunction with dampers. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
