To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X4548 59 Dal/M6. 9. 22. GOSHAWK X.4261. X.4547 We should be obliged if you could tell us whether you have come to any definite conclusion regarding the spring shackles, bushes, etc. so that we may know what we ought to do on the export chassis. For instance, have you been able to see whether the side thrust bushes which project beyond the face of the shackle, and the boss on the spring or the bracket respectively are a definite advantage. Another point is the numerous grooves inside and outside for improving the lubrication. Has there been any disadvantage found with either of these things? We should be glad of a sort of informal report on the spring shackles at this moment. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
