R.R. 493A (50H) (D.B. 175 25-9-24) J.H.D. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. -5- Expl. No. REF: Hed/1/C6. 7. 25. The capacity of the cylindrical tank is 1.025 galls. compared with 1.2 gallons of the one fitted to 7-EX. We doubt whether the extra capacity is necessary. Rear brake adjustment. The leather covers for the rear brake adjustment have been replaced with metal covers. The leather covers we fit had a very short life if the car was used in France because they became destroyed by stones. On the 'V' series cars the N.S. hand brake adjustment cover is also burnt by the exhaust. Shutter control. The control for the throttle is made to the latest Lec. and is mounted on ball bearings. *************** Further new parts which we expect to fit to this car are :- 1. Modified side lever mechanism Lec.2079. 2. Dipping head lamps. 3. Lightened flywheel and modified clutch Lec.2067! 4. Reduced front and total braking. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
