Re 25/30 H.P. Clutches.

Dear Sirs,

On the recent consignment of the above clutches which are fitted with castellated nuts on the eye-bolts we find that in many cases the split pin hole is drilled too far down the eye-bolt with the result that we have to file out the slots in the nut in order to get the split pin in.

Will you kindly arrange to drill the split pin hole approx. .030 nearer the nut of the bolt, that is .030 further from the eye.

We would be glad if you would kindly give this matter your attention for future consignments.

In the case of the Bentley clutch, the position is not acute, but there are a few cases to which the same trouble applies.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
