(4) Increased capacity oil pump and relief valve as ordered in the memo. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}5/JH.11.5.36. (5) Cylinder bores radiused at the base of the barrels to prevent piston scoring (Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}111). (6) External oil filter to LeC.4692 with gauze element in place of the Tecalemit element as Ph.III. (7) Turned rings and Aerolite pistons to be supplied by Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Mths.{Reg Matthews} (8) Deturbulated cylinder head as carried out on 25/30 to LeC.5002. C/R.{Sir Henry Royce} to be restored to standard. (9) Exhaust valves with head shape as proved on B-3, Rs.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}276. We are asking the Design for this type of valve to be issued - 3 in KE-965 stellited, 3 in Silchrome stellited. (10) Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}53 low stress valve springs. (11) Front 8 water holes blanked up in the cylinder block. This is already recommended for production - LeC.5117. (12) Crankshaft with Packard type weights - LeC.5139.
