X.3908 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Copy to CJ. " " Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} " " Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} " " BP. " " Ck.{Mr Clark} X.3908. RE BREATHER GAS FROM ENGINE. X.3431. ---------------------------------------------------------- It is proposed to carry the breather gas straight into the open air by means of a pipe connected th the breather outlet and passing through the undershield. The object is, of course, to avoid the presence of this objectionable gas in closed bodies, and the method proposed promises, perhaps, to be more effective than stopping up pedal slots, etc., although this latter may be required for other reasons. Mr. Royce would like experiments made with the object of testing out this suggestion. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} N R 235 B (200 P) S F.{Mr Friese} 674. 22-5-19.
