V3806 BYS/M.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} 5.9.27. 2-45 5-9-27. CENTRALISED CHASSIS LUBRICATION. Please note that the centralised lubrication will be fitted up on a car which will be specially built in the Experimental Dept. for this purpose. The car will be, generally speaking, the standard Phantom. The only departures we know of at the moment being the aluminium head to the engine, but cast iron cylinder blocks will be used. The dashboard in the car in question should be a plain plate dash, as we do not at this stage wish to put the scheme immediately on to the cast dashboard, as we are of the opinion that it will be required on the plate dash first. Will each Department kindly see that their instructions to the Experimental Dept. are in line with the foregoing. The Experimental Dept. should fix the position for the Bijur pump suitably for a plain plate dash. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BR | ||
