To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to EFC. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} c. to EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} c. to Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} X4383 R3/M7.7.22. X.4383 - DYNAMOS FOR GOSHAWK. In reply to your memo. Worl/FG5.7.22. Good. Excellent. Fine. We should allow no bakelite commutators to remain on any dynamo on any car. The starter motor is O.K. because it never gets hot enough to deteriorate the bakelite. With the mica mounting use plenty of hydraulic pressure and heat while screwing up. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
