11th October 1938.

pattern of more or less the same description which he could recommend. He is going to send me further patterns. (Motor trade ?! )

The body is getting on very nicely and everybody including Withers and Woodall seem pleased at the progress and delivery is promised on the 20th December. Further samples of hood covering are to be submitted, also an inside lining.

I wonder if I am the perfectly "innocent mug" that the Motor people seem to think, (which is more or less what you warned me against) or whether they are playing games.

I am afraid this letter sounds rather rambling, but sometimes one does rather get up against it when one thinks one is being "diddled in the optic" !!

Yours,

Kenneth
