Tempered Spring Co. and No trouble experienced. recently standardised as alternative to EB.175. Valve Springs Nos. 7-12. 19,320 miles. EB.3256. Produced by R.R. No trouble experienced. in Swedish wire. It should however be mentioned that one of the same type of valve springs fitted to 26.G.VI. broke after 2,000 miles running in France. Inlet Valves S.65 Ex.27725 These belonged to the increased inlet port head which was discard- Exhaust Valves KE.965. ed.{J. L. Edwards} The French mileage was run EB.3236. with standard production S/SLV. inlet and KE.965 exhaust valves in the standard cylinder head. No trouble or loss of tappet clearance was experienced. Rockers on direct coppered 19,320 miles. Satisfactory rocker shaft without bushes. subject to strip report. Not disturbed during French mileage. Aerolite Pistons to LOP. 19,320 miles. During the EB.2833 (identification M 13) preliminary mileage in England with high pressure scraper when running on Mobiloil Arctic, rings. As already standard- knocks when hot and scruffing ised. were experienced. The French mileage has been run on Mobiloil "A". No trouble has been exper- ienced and the pistons have not been disturbed. The average oil consumption was 2,400 m.p.g. | ||
