X3806 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Dwg.20/KW. 14th November,1934. Messrs. Luvax Limited, Warple Way, Acton, London. For the attention of Mr. Pitt. Dear Sirs, Meter Valves - Junction Bodies. With reference to the above. We anticipated that when you chamfered the ends of the meter valves, the chamfer would make an oil-tight joint against the cone-shaped base of the junction body, but we find on sectioning one of these that the valves are not quite long enough. Will you therefore be good enough to submit to us a sample with increased length of valve, the chamfer of which definitely seats on the base of the body. Trusting you will get this through for us as soon as possible. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
