8th May, 1936.

Messrs. Rudge-Whitworth, Ltd.,
COVENTRY.

For the attention of Mr. Hack.

Dear Sirs,

With reference to the correspondence between us on the subject of cylinder head castings for the unit in our possession, we have received delivery of two heads to pattern M.3491 from Messrs. William Mills Ltd.

On inspection, however, we find that the pattern has been modified on the push rod side of the head, and it would appear that our existing valve rocker mechanism is no longer suitable.

We should be glad, therefore, if you would let us know the extent of the modifications, and send us working drawings of these castings, or of the alterations carried out on same. We should also be obliged if you could send us an arrangement drawing of the head and rocker mechanism.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
