Design solutions for the 'twenty' model, referencing coachbuilders Barker's and Hooper's specifications for stays and headlamp centres.

None of these suggestions are without serious drawbacks, and we suggest that the key to the solution may be found in the "twenty". Both Barker's and Hooper's use the 20HP. stays with little or no bending, save at the very tip. As far as the writer could gather when he last visited the coachbuilders there is less difference between the two coachbuilders' wings in the case of the "twenty". Sales have asked that both Barker's and Hooper's may have a set of stays for fitting up, and approval, before we go ahead.

If, after your investigations, any further design work is needed, would you kindly let us know.

Enclosed herewith please find Hooper's letter (to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} only). You will see their remarks re. headlamp centres. We suggest that we retain the 12.250" height, and give them 28.500" centres.
