In connection with the suggested change to the material of the above Filler Caps, we are in agreement that this would show a saving in manufacturing. We should like to point out, however, that with Dixtampo the cost of polishing will be increased and the trouble of a minutely pitted surface will occur. This is sufficient to cause rejection and the need for repolishing to attain the 100% job required by Sales. We estimate for the 25/30 Cap in Dixtampo the labour cost (without charges) would be 1/5½d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} To further reduce the cost we would suggest that machining of the inside of the Cap, particularly for the Ph.III should be deleted except of course for the thread and shoulders.
