X Tappet marked 2.-A chipped slightly on edges during grinding and has been retained for examination.

The remainder as above have been handed over for despatch to Messrs. Rolls-Royce.

We still retain in our possession a further 12 of these tappets untreated, and we suggest that Rolls Royce should pass an opinion on the above as soon as they have tried them. The remainder can then be plated under different conditions if found necessary.
