A. {Mr Adams} Healey Esq., The Dunlop Rubber Co.Ltd., Fort Dunlop, Erdington, Birmingham. Dear Mr.Healey, Thank you for your letter of the 14th November. We are progressing slowly on the chassis side of tyre noise, but in the meantime would like to get further experience on tyres similar to those which we arrived at on Phantom III. We shall be glad if you will send a set of 6 tyres of this description to - Mr. G.W. Hancock, Hotel de France, ChateaurouxFrench test region, Indre, France. and at the same time we should like to have a tyre of similar tread for the 20/25. We shall be glad if you can produce such tyres and let Major Cox have a set for a test in London, at the same time sending 6 to Hancock in France. I think it is better to defer any discussion on the subject until we have made further progress on our chassis tests. We also hope shortly to have some information from America, as two of our people are over there now and one of the subjects they are pursuing is the effect of tyre noise on a motor car.
