600 HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}5/R.14.10.37. 25.G.VI. This was, of course, the first Wraith to be build, and is entirely obsolete. It has a thin gauge frame. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has expressed a wish that we should re-build this car to the specification of the first six cars which are being built in the Works, and he will then use it himself. We should be glad if you would go ahead and put the necessary pieces in hand to replace the obsolete parts on this chassis, obviously we can run the production of these pieces in with those the Works are producing, and save some money. WRAITH WHEEL MOVEMENT ON P.III. Although we have standardised these parts, we have not a single car running about with the scheme, owing to the fact that we had to cut up the triangular arms of the 15,000 mile car for inspection. We understand that you have 3 sets of pieces in hand, and we should like to get some of these on our experimental cars as soon as possible. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
