-2- another set on the car I fitted them and will bring the others just as they are for you to see. Mileage from the 5th. to the 12th. - 718 making a total of 7296. Petrol consumption 275 litres. I am hoping to leave here about the 26th. of this month. X.39/0 Mr. Salamanca was here last week-end and he states he is very pleased with his car now except for one of the rear shock absorbers which rattles badly. This one can be moved about by hand and it would seem as though the tube or shaft which enters the tank were loose at its inner end. He is particularly pleased with his split type aluminium pistons and is surprised at the small amount of carbon deposit on them. He also states there is no knock or any other noise from them either hot or cold. I heard the engine started up from cold and could detect no knock and the engine ran very smooth and quiet. These pistons have done about 4500 miles. The car is being run with both plates on the radiator. Mr. Salamanca has now returned to Spain. T.H. Maddocks. | ||
