(a) The instruments will be similar to the two shewn on the Rolls-Royce painting, except that the clock should be incorporated in the instrument dial and not the speedometer dial as shewn. These instruments will have the lighting demonstrated on the Talbot panel but the direct rays of the light more adequately screened.

(b) The switch-box will be capable of dealing with the ignition, lock and side and head lamps; the wireless controls will be incorporated as bezels round the edge.

(c) The number of buttons required for the auxiliaries was then discussed, and the following found to be required :

1. Starter button (spring loaded)
2. Button for Oil readings (spring loaded)
3. Fog Lamp.
4. Panel lights (to have a knurled knob underneath the instrument board with rheostat.)
5. Reading light.
6. Body light on piller.
7. Reverse light (No connection with instrument-board).

It was agreed that numbers 1, 2, 3 and 5 will be provided on the instrument board by Messrs. Smiths, we shall also have to get them to provide number 7, as we have no other provision for a reversing light.

Nos. 6 and 4. will be provided by the coachbuilders.

Mr. Green raised the question of the instrument board assembly and it was agreed that the instruments etc. should be built up and wired together in a metal panel as a complete assembly, to be fitted into the body in one operation and thus prevent the instruments from getting damaged in the assembly line.
