COPY. PN{Mr Northey}4/DN4.1.26. To EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} FROM PN.{Mr Northey} I am not aware how soon the water-joint clips on the "Phantom" as now supplied, will be modified by a type of clip which is altogether better mechanically and more effective in preventing water being lost. As you are aware, many cases have arisen where these have not been satisfactory and an immediate case requiring attention is that of Mr. Sidney, whose "Phantom", whilst giving great satisfaction in every other respect, is suffering from loss of water through these joints. Will you be good enough, please, to obtain as early as possible, a set of Aero Engine Clips, suitable for the joints on this chassis, and have them sent to 'N', when immediately I understand they will be there, I will arrange for Mr. Sidney's car to go to have them fitted.
