40/50 HP. CHASSIS - T.2. SERIES MATERIAL.

As agreed at a Conference held in E's Office last week, we are instructing the following modifications to be incorporated in the 2nd. speed synchro mesh gear box already ordered for the 51st. chassis in T.2. series :-

(1). 2nd. Speed Synchromesh cam angle 50° instead of 45°.
(2). Ball Bearings for Bottom Slider, as per N.Sch. 4140.
(3). Spherical bearings for change gear shaft, as per N. Sch. 4173.
(4). Air Vent to Gearbox, as per N.Sch. 4170.

It was agreed that the following would not be incorporated until tested out experimentally :-

N.Sch.4145 Modifications to 1st. and 2nd. Speed Actuating Lever.
N.Sch.4143 Modification to 1st. and 2nd. Speed Sliding Piece.
N.Sch.4141 Wider 2nd. Speed Cones.
N.Sch.4128 Weaker Selector Springs.
