July, 1937. about 2½" on the Oldsmobile, and we were always under the impression that it was impossible to use as much offset as this without encountering kicks of the steering. It seems to us that this much offset is very desirable in so far as it would obviously contribute to the lightness of the steering at low speeds. Have you any views on the relative merits of the Packard independent suspension geometry as opposed to that employed by G.M.? They would seem to us to have very similar effects.
