I am arranging with our Mr. Swaine to call upon you with a 16 h.p. crankcase, crankshafts, connecting rods and oil pump assembly on August 26th., and will come myself also if I can get away. Regarding the Oldsmobile. Thank you for your offer of information. This will be very useful, and I will get in touch with you again when we know more definitely what we are looking for. We are not greatly interested in the engine, but have bought the car because we were very impressed with the springing and road holding qualities of the one you had, but we wanted to make sure that these apparently good features would be maintained under all conditions of driving, which so far seems to be the case. In checking up the steering layout of the Oldsmobile, the point which interests us most at present is the large amount of king pin offset (distance from projected king pin centre line to centre of tyre contact on the ground).
