Coverley - Production Engineer}/JWW.1/JRS.16.2.39., that the re-entrant feature on the above piece should be eliminated to reduce cost by permitting the use of a one piece iron core in place of the sand core at present used. Investigation, however, shows that to carry out the above proposal would entail considerable alterations width and length of the cylinder head and probably the cylinder block and crankcase due to insufficient clearance between the rocker gear and cover. In view of the above, therefore, it is considered impracticable to modify the rocker cover as suggested since any direct saving is outweighed by the consequent alterations involved. RHC{R. H.
