Messrs. Rolls Royce Limited,
DERBY.

For the attention of Mr. Steadman.

Dear Sirs,

"We are sending under separate cover one strengthened Oil Cooler No. E.X.2 which embodies a top strengthening plate and a bottom strengthening plate as discussed.

This cooler has of course been dipped and has withstood our test satisfactorily.

You will notice that we have had to remove one row of tubes in order to maintain the overhaul height and as the top has been hand made it is perhaps not so neat looking as our standard production cooler.

I shall be interested to know the result of your tests on this job.

I shall be writing you in the course of a few days in connection with our quotation for Bentley and Wraith radiators and as far as the manufacture of the Wraith radiator shell in brass is concerned, we have experimented with a welded construction but find that the difficulty there is to get a weld free from porosity when polished and plated.

We are at the moment engaged in making a small sample in brass using your soldered construction. We hope to let you have something definite very shortly.

Yours faithfully

FOR JOHN MARSTON, LIMITED.
