Expecting you to get 36.E.X. to a condition where we can judge silence of front dampers Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 10. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Pm. 32.EX - PHANTOM III We have reduced the washers under the front damper valves by .015" as suggested by Leslie. This has given us the required damping on the front of the car, which we must have, but has set up a grunting noise when the car rides over rough roads. This merely confirms what Leslie said would happen. We find that slacking of the friction damper on the servo swinging arm has produced front brake thumps. ---------- H.{Arthur M.
