To DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X7370 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG21.3.27. FRICTION OF EAC.7. SERVO LINKAGE. X7370 X7420 With reference to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M17.3.27. We believe that your query is due to the peculiar method in which the Works take the load on the swinging link. A bolt is placed in the top of the 'T' lever and the pull is taken at the bottom of this lever, the result being that the 26 lbs. load has to be obtained at the radius x and not at the radius of the swinging link. We cannot get more than 14 to 16 lbs. when the pull is taken in this manner. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
