Mr Booth, c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X 3465/ BY11-P1.10.23. STEERING LEVERS & BALL ENDS. X 3418 We have received the completed standardisation sheet for the improved taper type ball end for application to the 40/50 chassis. The type in question is one similar to that in use on the 20HP. In bringing it into service I believe that we shall have to modify our levers by deepening the bosses. I would like to be able to find out from the Works how many of the old type levers they have in hand, and then I will be able to put the facts of the case before Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}, as to when it can be brought in. So far as Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}, is concerned I do not think he feels that the alteration is one which would demand the making of scrap. Standardisation sheet number X.3418, dated 24.9.23.
