(8) We must decide where and how we are going to store the tools on B.III. Arrange them on this car in what you consider to be the best place and let me see.

(9) Flywheel whistle should be eliminated by blocking up holes in clutch casing. Alternatively, if this is not successful, more clearance will be required round starter teeth.

(10) Investigation should be made to ensure that gear lever is optimum length and in best position for (1) getting in and out of car, (2) changing gear.

(11) Analysis should be made of engine mounting with new gear-box to see that change speed lever conditions have not been made any more difficult. A higher rear mounting should be tried on B.III if possible.

(12) A roll rate for the existing B.III body mounting relative to the frame should be obtained. Solid body mounting should also be tried on the car to get a value for effect on -
(a) Handling.
(b) Noise.

(13) Damped carb pistons should be tried to see if they permit of any weaker needles without spoiling performance. We suggest that Ratcliffe might do this test by fitting a B.III indutction system to the Wraith.

(14) A set of the higher compression pistons should be fitted as soon as available, and optimum C.R. for production established.

(15) Min. fan size with and without bonnet ventilation should be established.

(16) Gearbox will have to be dismantled and rectified.

(17) Correct column and controls should be fitted when available. Also the column brought central with the driving position if this can be arranged.
