X.2894 - TUNGSTEN POINTS Further to our EFC1/T27.9.20, we have now received back from Mr. Elliott a chassis ignition contact blade and screw which were fitted with tungsten points and run on the experimental cars. We are, therefore, passing these over to you to be sent on to Mr. Olley for his inspection and in order that he may take this matter up with the Independent Lamp & Wire Co., from whom these points originated, at a suitable opportunity. Regarding the last paragraph of the above mentioned note, the difficulty in making tungsten rods into contacts is that of grinding the rods down to the correct diameter to suit our standard. EFC.
