Letter requesting the manufacture of bonnet top plates and a complete bonnet, detailing materials, finish, and the need for estimates.

| -2- 20th. May 1938. The top plates requested above will be made as a complete unit by yourselves and therefore the responsibility as regards finish etc. will not be divided. In addition to the bonnet top plates requested above, we would like you to make us a complete bonnet of our previous type, with top plates and side plates in steel and with top and side hinges attached to plates by spot welding. We will send you the necessary detail drawings for this bonnet within the next few days. In this case we would again like the top and side plates cellulosed black and we will supply you with the side hinges and rods. we would likeyou to let us have estimates for the supply of these three assemblies (not on a production basis, but for the experimental units) within the next few days - on receipt of same we will send you official orders for this work.
