Le Carbone.

This firm have made many attempts to supply carbon brushes in accordance with our requirements, but up to now have not succeeded. The last consignment of brushes delivered have glass bead insulation on the flexibles. The glass beads were too large in diameter and prevented the flexibles bending round a sufficiently small circle. We complained and they have now sent us a supply of smaller glass beads to replace the larger ones, but unfortunately the smaller beads are so small in the hole that they will not thread on to the flexible.

Many weeks have been lost in an endeavour to obtain satisfaction and I despair of ever getting satisfaction. In the circumstances I cannot accept responsibility if production is held up.

In my opinion a visit should be paid to these people and they should be persuaded to put this matter in the hands of some responsible person in their office, who will see to it that we receive what we have ordered and not something quite different.

Will Roy. {Mr H. Royce - Buyer} arrange to visit these people, or does he consider that I ought to see them?

Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}

Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead}
