EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} from Wd. {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} c. to By. {R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} X.4333 Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} 3/NJ29.8.22. X 4333 Le Carbone - Brushes D.50736 & D.50761. Arising out of the decision to employ small insulating beads on the flexibles of these two carbon brushes, which necessitates the employment of a small flexible, Le Carbone have written us as follows:- "We suppose you do not anticipate any trouble "arising, due to the reduction of the diameter of the "flexible, consequent upon the necessity for keeping "within the limit specified by you. We have no doubt "you have taken this detail into consideration and "will not experience any trouble with over-heating, "although you will agree with us that if this trouble "is likely to arise, it will be as well to take steps "to deal with it beforehand." My recollection is that EFC. {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} assured me that the reduced diameter of flexible would be quite satisfactory, but as Le Carbone have raised the point, I would like to give them a definite answer.
