Seen Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X.4410 GOSHAWK II. DISTRIBUTION BOX COVER. We send you herewith drawing No. Lec 1561 shewing schemes for holding bobbins of fuse wire within the distribution box cover. This drawing shows both a pressing and a moulding for the cover as we believe that you may have some bakelite mouldings for test possibly made, and it would be a pity not to take advantage of this. The difficulty in connection with the metal cover is to make a neat job of the internal coating with insulating material. We suggest that you might try spraying the inside with black enamel or with white vitreous enamel, if the cover will stand the temperature for the baking of the latter. As we mentioned in our last memo. however the cover cannot be prevented from shorting by coating it inside, and we have therefore shown guides fixed inside which must be engaged with the studs when the cover is being put on. These guides were suggested before but for some reason or other did not get incorporated in the design. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [Stamp: RECEIVED I MAY 1922 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}] | ||
