W.A.Robotham Esq,
Messrs Rolls-Royce Ltd,
Derby.

My dear Robotham,

Many thanks for your letter of the 18th instant. It is very nice of you to write me about my clutch, and I expect your diagnosis is correct.

The point is, that the clutch is functioning quite satisfactorily at the present time, and as I am using the car a great deal, I would like to go on as long as I can, until say the middle or end of January, when I shall have to lay the car up for the bodywork.

As you have not been worried by me, I presume you have assumed that the car has been going well, which assumption is quite correct. I have now done 28,000 miles, including a fairly arduous 2500 miles in the Austrian Alps this Summer. Since you dealt with the brakes, I have had no trouble whatsoever on this score, and my only complaints have been clutch, automatic cut out, and a good deal of cracking in the body. I have arranged to send the car up to Park Wards about the end of January.

Have you got any further suggestions in regard to improving the performance of the car a bit, and, if so, what would it cost me, and do you recommend it? If you have got anything attractive to suggest, I might send the car up to have the clutch done, after sending it to Park Wards.

With kind regards, and best thanks.

Yours sincerely,

A.H.R.Fedden
