168 -4- such as you suggest Mr Bailey should scheme, will get over any difficulties with regard to further tests for axles, yet I think these other parts (which should form a portion of the general equipment of our experimental shop) are also required and the money spent for this purpose will be well invested. With regard to the 40 56 lb. weights, I find the cost of these is 6/8d each. Is there any reason why we should not use the balast bags made with cast iron borings, as these come out at less than 2/6d each, and are, I should say, more convenient for most purposes especially where they are packed together | ||
