DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X.5600 R2/M7.3.29. c, to sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}, Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} C. PRESENT 20 HP. N.sch.2839 I agree to the above - i.e. wheel carrier for close coupled 4-seater. With the present set screw bolt one notices there is very little range in the threaded part of the bolt: perhaps this would be better screwed all the way. Best of all would be that the tapped hole could swivel slightly but not turn round, and the unscrewed point of the bolt would align the bore, but as we only intend to make a small number it may not be worth while working at this point, but it will always be important. If you can find a simple scheme it might be worth trying both the above. There are such points as make RR. reputation. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
