Re: Phantom II Subframes.

You will remember the point raised by PN.{Mr Northey} when he returned WJ-1, in regard to the impossibility of removing the lid{A. J. Lidsey} of the gearbox.

I do not seem to have ever seen any reply on this subject, but from enquiries I have made here I gather that whereas it is possible to remove the lid{A. J. Lidsey} on Phantom II cars with the standard subframe, it is not possible to do so on the ones for close coupled bodies.

I should be glad of confirmation that this is so, and I will then take the matter up with Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} as I assume that it is really a design question.
